Professor Jean-François Delfraissy participated in public conferences organised by the ethical committees of scientific institutions and regional forums for ethical reflection:
- On 21 March 2017 in Montpellier at the 2nd Regional Forum on Health Ethics – for students and high school pupils, organised by the Languedoc-Roussillon Forum. Professor Delfraissy was invited to speak as Prime Witness on the theme of “HIV, medical confidentiality or the protection of others: an ethical dilemma”.
- On 14 June 2017 in Paris, the INSERM’s Ethics Committee 4th annual day, organised in partnership with the Ile-de-France ethics forum and the Centre for interdisciplinary research on the subject of: “Practising biomedical ethics in a connected world?”. Professor Delfraissy spoke as Prime Witness on the theme of “Tomorrow’s patient”.
- On 21 June 2017 in Grenoble at the second “Printanières de l’Ethique”, the Rhône Alpes and Auvergne ethics forums organised a conference on the theme of “Sharing ethical reflection between healthcare professionals and hospitals or medical and social establishments.” Professor Jean-François Delfraissy delivered the keynote address.
- On 26 September 2017 in Brest, the National Consultative Ethics Committee, the Brittany ethics Forum, the Atlantic Ethics Research Centre (CARE) and the Atlantic Philosophy Centre organised a one-day conference chaired by Professor Jean-François Delfraissy to study and exchange ideas on how to encourage awareness of the problems raised by conflict of interests and their consequences and develop a collective critical spirit.
